Hotel Tamaca is a classic Colombian hotel; comfortable rooms, great service; it’s a family friendly hotel. Good typical Colombian food.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. We were coming from Cartagena- and the hotel there was underwhelming. So we had very low expectations. We pulled up and walked into a beautiful airy lobby and our eyes were directly drawn to the infiniti pool and the beautiful beach right in front of the property. While our room was not yet ready, we were invited to sit down for lunch and were given towels to go straight to the pool/beach. When we did get keys to the room we were pleasantly surprised to have a small balcony overlooking the beautiful ocean. The rooms were incredibly clean and inviting. The onesite restaurant was pleasant and the food was delightful. Tons of options The- buffet and a la carte from menu as well The location of the hotel was perfect as a jumping off base for our tours. Hotel felt very safe, with a security guard checking all cars coming in. A great pharmacy across the street for all your last minute needs as well as an ATM came in handy! Highly recommend. Also when here, use their on-site travel services. They have amazing tours and customize trips based on your needs.

Great Rodadero hotel On the Beach
This is a fabulous hotel on the beach, in Rodadero, a few few miles, south of the city of Santa Marta. Our room, and it seems all the rooms overlooked the pool, which is in front of the beach. It is a magnificent view of the beach and the ocean and islands and surrounding hills. Every morning you can wake up and walk out to the beach and go swimming, or the pool. The room had good Wi-Fi air conditioning, and a ceiling fan, which I love. The staff was very friendly. Every morning we had a great breakfast to get started on whatever we decided to do. it is a short walk to the restaurants or bars in Rodadero, or a short taxi ride to Santa Marta. There is a bar near the pool. That serves cocktails and or beer and snacks.The hotel is right next to the boats that can take you to Playa Inca, Inca, or playa blanca Perry. We took a taxi out to Bahía playa Concha. That’s a really spectacularly beautiful beach.
We ate dinner at the hotel the first night, but I would not recommend the food we had that night.
I don’t think you can find a better beach hotel in the area.

No hot water in the room. Old room. No pool facilities at all.
Horrible and few chairs on the beach. Reception super unfriendly.
The waiters on breakfast such as Alvaro were awesome though. Should be 2 star hotel

Beautiful location, great service
A traditional hotel on a beautiful part of the beach. Room is spacious and comfortable. Service is friendly and prompt. Food and service in restaurant is very good - excellent breakfast buffet.

Someone needs to tell the owners its 2024 not 1994. Seriously. Nice hotel severely in need of updating to the 21 century. Pool exposure to sun without any umbrellas whatsoever. How thoughtless can owners be? Seriously. Room was fine. Don't even think about drinking the water in this destination. Montezuma is waiting.
